WATCH: Kelsea Ballerini Unapologetically Returns to 'High School'

October 31, 2017

Kelsea Ballerini returned to her former high school in Knoxville, Tennessee October 28 for a concert. The country singer was celebrating the release of her sophomore album, Unapologetically, which drops Friday.

According to Rolling Stone, Ballerini only went to the “High School” for two years, however, she feels it gave her character. The event was held by the Tennessee Department of Tourism which raised $20,000 for the school’s choral department.

The "Legends" singer revealed that the new record tells the story of her life throughout the past few years. Ballerini was involved in the writing process every step of the way just like she was on her debut album.

The 24-year-old will hit the road in 2018 for her Unapologetically Tour with special guest Walker Hayes. Kelsea Ballerini is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at the 51st Annual CMA Awards airing November 8.
