Carrie Underwood Donates $10,000 to Oklahoma Police Officer

Carrie Underwood has made a generous donation of $10,000 to a police officer in Oklahoma. Checotah Assistant Police Chief, Justin Durret, was in a serious car accident earlier this month which lead him leaving the scene with a broken neck and several other injuries.

According to Fox News, the country superstar donated to the GoFundMe campaign under her married name, Carrie Fisher. KOMO News reported that Underwood's childhood friend was heading to work the day of the crash when his truck slid off the road.

Thanks to "The Champion" singer, the Durret and his family are now closer to their fundraising goal of $20,000.
