We've all seen the images of that coast-to-coast solar eclipse taken from the ground, but a very limited number of people were able to see it from 39,000 feet in the air.
A few dozens passengers on board a London to Miami Virgin Atlantic flight enjoyed a once in a lifetime view of the first total solar eclipse to sweep across the US in nearly a century. In fact, people didn't even cross the Atlantic by plane the last time it happened, making this select group of travelers the first to EVER witness a full solar eclipse over the United States from a plane over the Atlantic Ocean.
