Lived up to the Hype!

March 14, 2017

So here it is 24 years and 1 day from the last blizzard in NEPA. Looks like this one is bigger. At the time I'm writing this, it looks like there's still hours of snow to go and where at about 20". That's the bad news. The good news is the crew I work with. This morning, it was the essential employees that reported to work...the on-air people from Froggy, KRZ and WILK. Some stayed at the Comfort Inn up the road and the rest of us crashed at the radio stations or as we call it Hotel Entercom. I packed enough to be here two days which includes clothes and food. Paula, from our sister station WILK prepared two crock pot meals for the staff, tortellini with spinach and tomatoes and also a pot of chili. Both were incredible!

As I write this at 1PM, I haven't even cleaned off my car yet. I'll be honest, I'm not looking forward to it but it must be done to get the first 20" off. Michele, sent me this pic from the deck at our home this morning at 9AM. I can only imagine what it looks like now. Be safe and enjoy your time off if you can and if you must go to work...thanks for what you do.
